William Crowder has spent more than a decade specifically backing underrepresented founders in fintech, first by leading the DreamIt–Comcast partnership to invest in founders of color and then by launching Comcast Ventures' diversity-focused fund in 2012, well before most large VCs created similar initiatives. After building Comcast Ventures' diversity fund from scratch, he has been tapped by other major institutions such as Morgan Stanley and Hearst to help them design and launch their own diversity investing initiatives, giving him an unusually deep vantage point on how large corporates should structure inclusive capital programs.
