About Aly Bryan
Ron Gonen built his investing career around the circular economy starting in 2002 when the concept drew dead silence from Columbia Business School classmates, and later served as New York City's Deputy Commissioner of Sanitation under Mayor Bloomberg where he managed large public budgets and built citywide recycling programs. He designed Closed Loop Partners to span multiple asset classes—from venture to private equity plus an in-house innovation center—so he can identify bottlenecks anywhere in circular supply chains and apply the specific type of capital needed to unlock them, while deliberately raising from major consumer brands as strategic partners to co-design pilots and syndicate large infrastructure financings.
