About Ben Kortlang
Ben Kortlang is a founding partner of G2 Venture Partners, the climate and industrial technology investor he started in 2016 with Brook Porter, David Mount and Daniel Oros while the four were partners at Kleiner Perkins. At Kleiner Perkins he was a partner in the $1B Green Growth Fund, focused on smart grid, big data and renewable energy, where his portfolio companies included OSIsoft, Opower, Silver Spring Networks and Enphase Energy, on whose board he still sits. At G2 he has partnered with Arcadia, ProducePay, Crusoe Energy, Scandit, 1Komma5 and Luminar. Before Kleiner Perkins he spent eight years at Goldman Sachs, co-leading its alternative energy investing business and running private equity inside the special situations group. He was earlier an associate at A.T. Kearney and a business analyst at National Australia Bank, and holds degrees from RMIT University and the University of Melbourne plus an MBA from Michigan.
