About Murat Aktihanoglu
Murat Aktihanoglu is a deeply technical operator-turned-investor who founded the original Entrepreneurs Roundtable in 2007 as a free monthly gathering and grew it into a core part of NYC's startup ecosystem before co-founding ERA in 2010, where he reviews roughly 1,500 applications every six months and selects about 1% based on mentorability rather than just traction. He began investing in climate startups around 2017-2018 before it was mainstream and later launched a dedicated climate fund, while maintaining a global perspective informed by his hands-on work across Turkey, Silicon Valley, New York, Japan, and Korea, including running dedicated programs with Korean partners and advocating for Korean founders to leverage New York as a capital hub.
