Matt Gorin co-founded the nonprofit StreetWise Partners that pairs low-income adults with corporate mentors and was on the launch team of Promontory Interfinancial Network, a fintech platform that served more than half the banks in the U.S. and sold to Blackstone for roughly $2.5B. Before becoming a venture investor, he co-authored a Harvard Business School case study on free trade and a paper in the IMF's World Economic Outlook on Middle East economic risks, giving him an uncommon policy-and-economics research background for evaluating macro risk in his fintech investments.
