About Mia von Koschitzky-Kimani
Mia von Koschitzky-Kimani is a cross-continental operator-turned-VC who co-founded DukaConnect (acquired by Mastercard) after moving to Nairobi in 2009 to work directly for a local entrepreneur, bringing deep African operating experience and extensive field research across informal retail markets in Angola, Nigeria, and Kenya. She combines climate-focused VC experience from Persistent Energy Capital with over a decade of hands-on work building African entrepreneurship ecosystems, including helping launch BCG's Johannesburg and Nairobi offices and mentoring through the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation since 2015.
