Scott Roth is a former nuclear engineer for the U.S. Navy who founded and ran two large institutional hedge funds managing several billion dollars between 1999 and 2014 before transitioning to venture capital at First In Ventures. He brings an unusual combination of deep technical engineering background, large-scale institutional fund management experience, and a personal passion for the intersection of genomics and computer technology to his current focus on seed-stage biotech and deep-tech investments.
