About Steven Xi
Steven Xi is the Founding Managing Partner of Eastlink Capital, an early-stage technology firm he co-founded in 2014. Before Eastlink he was a Managing Director from 2007 to 2011 and then a special advisor from 2012 to 2016 at Riverwood Capital, a technology-focused global growth private equity firm managing more than $6 billion, where he concentrated on China-related internet, software and digital media investments. Earlier he was a Managing Director at The Hina Group Fund I and Acting Executive Vice President of corporate development at VanceInfo Technologies, and he co-founded a Silicon Valley e-commerce startup. His investments since 2004 include Databricks, Uber, Mercor, Modal Labs, MotherDuck, Framedia, VanceInfo Technologies and RenRen. He began his career in investment banking at CSFB and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in physics from Jilin University.
