Eastlink Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm in Menlo Park, California, founded in 2014 by managing partner Steven Xi. It invests in enterprise cloud companies and, within that, concentrates on data infrastructure and artificial intelligence rather than software generally, seeking mission-driven founders with unique technologies. The firm writes checks from pre-seed and seed through Series A, Series B and later rounds. Its recorded sector tags also extend to aerospace and defense, consumer, fintech and climate, though its disclosed activity sits squarely in data and AI infrastructure.

The track record is the firm's calling card. Eastlink was early into Databricks and Uber, and its current portfolio includes OpenAI, Together AI, Modal Labs, MotherDuck, Mercor, StreamNative, InsightFinder, Exostellar, Vellum and BenchFlow. Evernote and Seraphic Security, the latter acquired by CrowdStrike, are among its realized outcomes. That concentration in the AI compute and data stack is unusually deep for a firm of Eastlink's size.

Eastlink's differentiation is technical and cross-border. Its partners have run large engineering organizations at consumer internet companies and hold semiconductor and infrastructure expertise, which lets the firm evaluate systems-level claims that generalist seed investors take on faith. The firm also emphasizes Asia experience, supporting portfolio management teams on recruiting, go-to-market and downstream financing across both markets rather than writing a check and waiting.

The firm does not publish fund sizes or assets under management, and describes its current fund only as focused on AI infrastructure and applications.
