Bosch Ventures

Bosch Ventures is the brand of Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH (RBVC), the corporate venture capital company of the Bosch Group. It was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf, with offices in Frankfurt, Sunnyvale, Boston, Tel Aviv, Shanghai and, since 2026, London. Bosch said in May 2025 that the unit had invested in more than 100 startups worldwide since 2007, and that it backs six to ten carefully selected companies a year out of roughly 2,000 it assesses annually.

The unit invests mainly at early stage, also looks at later-stage companies and, in selected cases, seed. It commits up to EUR 25 million per company for up to 25% equity, and it leads, co-leads or follows. Its stated sector clusters are AI and deep learning, automation and digitalization, semiconductors and next-generation computing, advanced manufacturing, and mobility solutions. Sub-themes include robotics and electrification, enabling software and connectivity, climate tech such as energy efficiency and storage, and healthcare diagnostics. Recent deals include Qdrant's $50 million Series B and Quantum Motion's $160 million Series C in 2026, Neurophos's $110 million round in 2025, and a lead role in TULU's $37 million Series A.

The unit says startups gain access to Bosch's network and support for commercial collaborations with Bosch business units. A separate team, Open Bosch, runs collaboration programs between startups and the group. The exit record includes IPOs of Xometry, IonQ, Torqeedo, Optomed and Via Transportation, and sales of Arduino to Qualcomm, aiMotive to Stellantis, Intrinsic ID to Synopsys, Poka to IFS, and Movidius.
