- Axeleo Capital has been licensed by France's Autorité des Marchés Financiers as an alternative investment fund manager since March 2017, under license GP-17000006.
- Eric Burdier and Mathieu Viallard launched the first fund, AXC1, in July 2017 to back B2B software at pre-seed and seed; it made 34 investments.
- AXC2 followed in July 2022, announcing a 50 million euro first close and reaching a 73 million euro final close on the same early-stage B2B mandate, writing initial tickets of 0.5 million to 3 million euros and up to 10 million including follow-ons.
- In 2024 the firm extended into industrial climate technology with Green Tech Industry I, which held a first close at 125 million euros in October 2024 against a 250 million euro target and will back up to 20 European companies at Series A and B with initial tickets of 3 million to 10 million euros.
- Named limited partners in that fund include Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, Bpifrance, the Fonds National de Venture Industriel and Veolia.
- The firm said in June 2026 that a third digital fund is in progress, and reports more than 20 exits to acquirers including Tenable, Snyk, Docebo and Netskope.
