F-Prime Capital

F-Prime's bench is unusually deep for a venture firm, with more than 130 people listed across investment, venture network and operations teams and four sector groups covering healthtech and services, technology, life sciences and crypto.

Alex Pasteur, a Partner based in London, has invested in therapeutics and life sciences at the firm since 2012 and was a founding investor in ARTBIO, Tenpoint Therapeutics and Orchard Therapeutics, which Kyowa Kirin acquired. He came from MVM Life Science Partners and holds an MA in natural sciences and a PhD in chemistry from Cambridge. Gaurav Tuli, a Partner in Cambridge, covers enterprise technology and led investments in Threat Stack, acquired by F5 Networks, RiskRecon, acquired by Mastercard, and Protenus. He was previously a Principal at Eight Roads Ventures Europe and worked at EMC, Credit Suisse and McKinsey, with bachelor's, master's and MBA degrees from MIT.

F-Prime does not raise capital through public private placements. A search of SEC Form D filings returns no offerings under the F-Prime Capital name, consistent with a manager funded through Fidelity-affiliated structures rather than third-party limited partners. That absence of an LP fundraising trail is the defining structural fact about the firm and separates it from conventional venture managers of comparable scale, since there are no fund vintages, closes or investor counts on the public record to track.

F-Prime states that its portfolio list includes investments made by Fidelity Ventures and Eight Roads, the predecessor and sister vehicles its heritage runs through, and that since July 1, 2024 it also advises Fine Structure Ventures. The firm invests across life sciences, technology, healthtech and services, and crypto, operating from Cambridge, Massachusetts, London and San Francisco. Disclosed positions include Beam Therapeutics, Toast, Equip, Flywire, Devoted Health, Denali Therapeutics, Benchling and Iora Health.
